Linda Villarreal is the Vice Chairwoman of SEDL's Board of Directors.

Experience/Education
Dr. Villarreal, now retired, was formerly the executive director of Education Service Center Region 2 in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she oversaw programs that assist more than 40 school districts and 7 charter schools to improve academic performance and increase the efficiency of their operations. Her career in education spanned more than 25 years of teaching and administration experience. She started as a classroom teacher of speech and drama and moved on to serve as a principal, superintendent, and service center administrator. She was executive director of Region 2 for 3 years. Dr. Villarreal is also an adjunct professor of education administration and leadership at Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Dr. Villarreal has bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Texas A&M University, Kingsville, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Texas A&M.
