SEDL In The Community
Art in SEDL's Headquarters
SEDL’s Austin headquarters was designed by Milton Hime and Studio 8 Architects. The building’s airy design fosters collaboration through community spaces, workrooms, and offices to create a welcoming gathering place for educators. To enhance the aesthetics and décor of this space, SEDL has gathered a collection of artwork, including award-winning student artwork.
Green Building
SEDL's headquarters meets the silver certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), a third-party program that rates buildings in five key areas of human and environmental health:
- Sustainable site development
- Water savings
- Energy efficiency
- Materials selection
- Indoor environmental quality
Commitment to Community
Our staff is committed to giving back to the community to support schools, families, and children in low-income neighborhoods.
Mueller Development/Austin
SEDL’s headquarters is located in east-central Austin in the Mueller Development, a planned green community and the first in Texas to earn an LEED silver certification.
