2013 New Grantee and New Project Director Orientation Workshop

This workshop focused on increasing participants understanding of how to use evidence-based strategies for developing and achieving program goals and objectives, building staff capacity, gauging program effectiveness, and fostering effective communication.

Workshop Objectives:

  • To provide an opportunity for 21st CCLC grantees in Illinois to develop a vision for a high-quality afterschool program and to build a long-range plan for turning that vision into reality.
  • To provide grantees opportunities to develop strategies for sustainability in six different, but interrelated tracks: management, programming, integrating K-12 and afterschool, communication, collaboration, and collecting and using data.
  • To provide participants an opportunity to network and share information about afterschool resources.
  • To provide participants, regardless of their level of experience and knowledge, a myriad of opportunities to address their specific concerns.
