Effective Evaluation Strategies for Afterschool Programs
This session discusses user-friendly ways to undertake afterschool program evaluation that are useful for continuous improvement and for demonstrating program impact to external stakeholders. Use of attendance data, program quality and satisfaction measures, cost per unit of service, and program outcome measures are covered. Surveys and data recording examples are provided.
Using Quality Indicators to Evaluate Afterschool Programs
A Program Quality Self-Assessment Tool developed for use in afterschool programs is shared as one example of a self-examination tool for boards and staff of afterschool programs. This workshop is designed for new programs looking for a place to start with evaluation.
