Teaching Math to Young Children
Join the Regional Educational Laboratory Southwest on April 15 for a free webinar on evidence-based methods for teaching math to children in preschool, prekindergarten, and kindergarten. The webinar will explore the five evidence-based recommendations in the Teaching Math to Young Children practice guide, published by the What Works Clearinghouse. Sharon M. Carver, director of the Children's School at Carnegie Mellon University and one of the guide's panelists, will provide an overview of the recommendations, with a focus on teaching children to view and describe their world mathematically.
