BRIDGE EVENT WEBINAR

THE DATA-INFORMED DISTRICT

The Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Southwest is hosting the Bridge Event Webinar, The Data-Informed District: Research on How Educators Use Data to Inform Practice. The webinar will examine research that describes the barriers and facilitators for using K–12 data to improve education decision making and practice. Dr. Jeffrey C. Wayman, a researcher, education consultant, and former professor with expertise in the effective use of data to improve education practice, will present the webinar. The hour-long webinar will take place on December 5 at 3 p.m. (CST). The event is free.

Information Requests

The Southeast Comprehensive Center (SECC) has recently responded to two new information requests from state departments of education in the SECC region. The two new resulting publications are Best Practices in Increasing Learning Time in School Improvement Grant High Schools and State Uniform Grading Practices. (Both publications download as PDFs.)

 

Aspirations of Rural Youth Bridge Event Webinar

The REL Southwest hosted the Aspirations of Rural Youth Bridge Event Webinar to explore the challenges and successes that rural schools and communities experience in supporting students through the transition to college, careers, and adult life. The webinar archive, including the transcript, recording, and materials, is available on the REL Southwest website.
