Evaluation and Support Systems for Texas EducatorsNew Evaluation and Support Systems for Texas Educators
The Texas Comprehensive Center (TXCC) has been working with the Texas Education Agency and its contractors to create new state teacher and principal evaluation and support systems. The new systems will encourage more frequent, timely, and formative feedback for teachers and principals. They will also incorporate multiple indicators of success, including student learning.


Support for Reauthorization of ESRASupport for Reauthorization of ESRA
SEDL’s President and CEO, Wes Hoover, made a statement supporting the reauthorization of the Education Sciences and Reform Act. The bill will reauthorize the programs and activities at the Institute of Education Sciences, whose mission is to provide evidence to inform education practice and policy. The goal is to then share this information broadly to improve teaching and learning at schools across the United States. Read Dr. Hoover’s statement

Effective Media Outreach Strategies

Hosted by the Center on Knowledge Translation for Disability and Rehabilitation Research (KTDRR), this online conference will focus on using various forms of media to expand the reach and use of disability-oriented research findings. Journalists and other experts representing traditional media, social media, and special focus media outlets will share their perspectives. The conference takes place on October 27, 29, and 31.
