This program provides a useful framework programs with access to outdoors and instructors new to, but interested in, offering outdoor experiences that develop scientific perspectives about nature through real interaction with it.

4-H Wildlife Stewards develops students' scientific perspectives through interaction with the natural world. The program is a useful framework for teachers new to outdoor education, and its stand-alone activities employ various learning styles, asking kids to use all their senses. Activities require outdoor space, and teachers may want to carry out the program in the spring or summer when weather is best.
