Fun, engaging, and informative science activities require little prep time, yet are interesting and engaging. With little prior science background, instructors can lead the flexible activities that stimulate student curiosity/engagement.

This review is for the series of five booklets noted below. Individually, they sell for around $10. These materials are great fun for students. They offer them the chance to apply scientific thinking as they address health issues they are likely to face every day. Activities included allow students to explore the social problems surrounding self image or look beyond advertising as they compare different water samples or analyze air quality in their environments. These fun, hands-on investigations encourage them to examine their world critically through easily reproducible activities. Further, these activities include variations so that they can be reused without becoming stale.
