What was great about it?
This is the most comprehensive and high-quality set of activities for afterschool programs available (and it is free!). This curriculum is interdisciplinary, with a strong emphasis on STEM, and it was created in collaboration with educators from afterschool programs across New England. All of the activities use low-cost materials and work great for lots of different ages and group sizes. KIDS Afterschool contains over 150 activities that were created just for afterschools, and it helps OST educators develop high-quality teaching skills. It is being used in every state in the United States and in over 50 countries around the world, and won the ACM Promising Practices Award and has been nominated this year for an MITX award. Can't say enough good things about this free resource.
