Teaching Experience

Initially, very little technical knowledge is required beyond the ability to point and shoot a digital still or video camera. However, to extend the learning through software applications, some basic computer knowledge and training is required.

Planning and Preparation

The Web site links to tutorials for software. It is advisable that teachers or project leaders take the tutorials first so that they know what to expect and can anticipate questions or issues young people might encounter.

  • Software: Adobe Premiere Elements or Adobe Photoshop Elements
  • Computer
  • Camera: Digital still or video camera

Though not required, the software is available with an educator discount: $69 for Photoshop or Premiere purchased separately, or bundled for $119.
