This portion of the Texas Education Agency Web site provides reports about school performance from 1991-2004. Information is available at the campus, district, and grade level for mathematics, science, and other content areas. It includes data on ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and English proficiency.

TEA Science Curriculum Web page
This resource area on the Texas Education Agency’s Web site links to information on curriculum, assessment, rules, and other science related issues. It also links to conference presentations by TEA staff, which provide in-depth analysis of student performance in science.

What does the achievement gap look like in the United States?

Beating the Odds IV
This March 2004 edition put out by the Council of the Great City Schools provides a city-by-city analysis of student performance on state assessment. It also measures achievement gaps among different cities, states, and student subgroups.
