SEDL Wins Gold MarCom Awards for Communications WorkMarch 9, 2015
SEDL has won two MarCom Gold Awards: for its 2013 annual report Evidence to Practice and for SEDL Insights, Vol. 1, No. 2, Managing the Implementation of School Improvement Efforts.
MarCom Awards is an international creative competition for any individual or company involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.
The MarCom competition has grown to perhaps the largest of its kind in the world with about 6,000 entries per year. A look at the winners shows a range in size from individuals to media conglomerates and Fortune 50 companies. The competition is so well thought of in the industry that national public relations organizations, local ad clubs, and local business communicator chapters are entrants.
“I’m very proud of the talent and dedication of our team at SEDL,” said Jackie Burniske, acting director of communications at SEDL. “Our communications staff and education experts work collaboratively to develop useful resources and ensure that a range of stakeholders are aware of the important work that SEDL does.”
