  • Conduct workshop(s) for RSI field staff and others to provide them with information about professional learning communities.
  • Field staff will work with schools (intensive sites) to form professional learning communities.

ACTION STEPS
  • Conduct workshop for field staff based on monograph distributed at Session II: Criteria for Alignment of Expectations and Assessments in Math/Science Education.
  • Field staff work with intensive sites based on the step above.

 

Project Commitment: Tracking Student Performance

PRIORITY AREAS
  • Formative assessment - Using the results to inform the process of implementation in all areas
  • R&D - Capitalizing on the research & development intensive site schools to better identify correlates that improve student learning within the context of the Delta.
ACTION STEPS
  • Examine the data collected more carefully. Tease out the implications and report these results in meaningful, palatable formats - sound bytes.
  • Produce a "Results Report" so others are informed of progress.
  • Enjoining the broader community to address the correlates and empower the community to take action.
