PRIORITY AREAS
  • Clarify the complex definition of systemic alignment and all the components involved in alignment.
  • Develop and implement an aligned system in the areas of curriculum, assessment, professional development, instruction, accountability, evaluation and fairness and equity.
ACTION STEPS
  • Use the process developed by Norman Webb with stakeholders PK-16 and the community (including business & civic) to illustrate the importance of alignment and how it can be measured.
  • Develop an evaluation plan that re-examines, measures, and shows ways in which a comprehensive aligned system contributes to student learning.
  • Involve all stakeholders.
