  • Developing Professional Learning Communities through the use of local leadership teams.
ACTION STEPS
  • Train staff and community on the attributes of a successful professional learning community.
  • Set up an accountability system to provide direction and support.
  • Utilize RSI circuit riders on all phases.
  • Re-energize the use of walk-throughs; provide review and feedback through the use of walk-throughs.

  • Look at pedagogical implications.
ACTION STEPS
  • Share information with leadership team and Superintendent /_________.
  • Provide training Feb. 8-9, 2002 to leadership teams in systemic alignment.
  • Circuit riders facilitate back in districts to tie in to walk throughs.
  • Leadership teams report back to group in June.

  • Introduce concept to all groups (awareness and buy-in).
  • Train in collecting and using growth data; collect data.
  • Utilize walk throughs and other strategies to validate use.
  • Follow-up provided by circuit riders.
  • Share results with other teams at network-wide meeting.
