Deborah Donnelly
Deborah Donnelly is Project Director with SEDL's Afterschool, Family, and Community program. As product development coordinator, Dr. Donnelly oversees the conceptualization and development of content-area specific resources, including six toolkits now under development. Her work also includes dissemination planning to ensure broad accessibility of the resources; coordinating the involvement of regional staff, content advisory team members, and consultants in the design, development, and production of resources; and working with staff from the National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing to help develop standards for assessing the extent to which afterschool program practices are linked to research on effective teaching and learning in specific content areas.
Dr. Donnelly also serves on the National Partnership's leadership team.

Experience/Education
Prior to joining SEDL, Dr. Donnelly served in central administration as assistant to the area superintendent and as an elementary school principal. She has extensive experience in creating and conducting professional development. She created the training model for Austin Independent School District's professional development and appraisal system and provided training to administrators. She has served on the Texas School Improvement Initiative (TSII), as a teacher development consultant in Killeen Independent School District, as a New Jersey Writing Project trainer, and as a teacher and staff developer in the Temple Independent School District. Her teaching experience includes grades K-12 and migrant, Title I, and gifted and talented programs. Her previous work at SEDL includes working as a program associate on a reading project and as a program associate with the National Center for Family and Community Connections with Schools.
Dr. Donnelly received her BS in elementary education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She holds an MA and a PhD in educational administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
