Constructivism: Classroom Compass - Volume 1 Number 3

Classroom Compass is a collection of ideas, activities, and resources, for teachers interested in improving instruction in science and mathematics. This issue of Classroom Compass explores constructivism and the constructivist theory of learning, including a brief literature summary and suggestions for the constructivist classroom. 

Two instructional activities (Which Container Holds the Most? for younger children and Building Houses for older students) accompany excerpts on geometry from the Curriculum and Evaluation Standards for School Mathematics from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).
