Vision, Leadership, and Change: Issues About Change, Volume 2, Number 3

A widely shared sense of purpose or vision is an important component of successful school change.

This paper focuses on vision, its definition, and how it is demonstrated in educators. It also provides a process for the collaborative development of a shared vision resulting in a vision statement. It:

• Defines vision and presents five characteristics of the right vision
• Lists the three-stage continuum of dynamic visionary leadership
