What Is It?
Extended learning programs may provide tutoring, help strengthen academic achievement, and offer students enrichment opportunities they might not receive during the regular school day. They also offer families a great alternative to allowing children to entertain themselves after they get out of school, when they often just watch television at home or get into trouble due to a lack of supervision.

Looking to boost student achievement through academic enrichment? We can show you how to offer fun enrichment activities that keep students coming back. We also offer professional development based on a train-the-trainer model that uses the award-winning Afterschool Training Toolkit.
Attend at SEDL
The SEDL Virtual Academy for Afterschool is an interactive professional development resource that includes five online courses for professionals in a variety of expanded learning settings. Each course includes links to help align extended learning to day-school learning, effective instructional strategies, guided practice in project planning, and evidence-based instruction models that keep students engaged. We offer a choice of 1-, 2-, 3-year subscriptions.
