Question 2:
Have you been hit by any storms?

Answer:
Luckily no, we have had extraordinarily nice weather. Even the crew has mentioned that this rarely happens. Of course, we still have a few more days……..we have our fingers crossed.

Question 3:
Is the research you are doing hard?

Answer:
It is not especially difficult once we learned the procedures. However, we are just helping with the data collection; the final analyses and interpretation of the compiled data will be completed by the scientists. We are sure that the final stage will be much more difficult.

Question 4:
Have you discovered anything interesting about plankton?

Answer:
We have learned many things as individuals but the data still needs to be analyzed. It will be after it is compiled and studied that we will know the success of our work. This results are usually published in science journals.

Question 5:
If you don’t wash your hands, can it affect the phytoplankton?

Answer:
In some of our experiments, where our hands may come in contact with the phytoplankton or the chemicals, washing is not enough. To avoid contamination we have to wear gloves just like doctors and nurses use.
