Extended Session Agenda

NOTE: All participants should have a computer with the EWDS installed and the sample data loaded or available to load. The sample data can be easily loaded by following directions in the on-line help booklet (item 8 of the “Resources for EWDS Session” on the website, http://txcc.sedl.org/resources/ewds/resources.php). On the website you can also find a version with the EWDS pre-loaded with the sample data.

An early warning data system is not a new concept. The one developed at the Texas Comprehensive Center (TXCC) includes indicators based on research.

1. EWDS database application is based on research findings (10 minutes)
   • EWDS flyer

2. Data from the EWDS should be used in a collaborative, systemic school improvement process (60 minutes)
