Support for Implementing Georgia’s Common Core Performance Standards


The SECC will work with Georgia to strengthen their plans for implementing the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards by ensuring that they are

  1. identifying and providing to districts and schools high-quality resources that are supported by research-based and emerging promising practices,
  2. collecting feedback from districts, schools, and teachers to determine the quality, usefulness and relevance of the resources and supports they are providing, and
  3. adjusting and refining their implementation plans and resources to address identified needs or concerns.

This project is in the following state: Georgia.

This project relates to the following ED Priorities:

  • Increasing the capacity of states to implement their key initiatives statewide and support the school-level implementation of effective practices
  • Using data-based decision-making to improve instructional practices, policies, and student outcomes
